I build things. Mostly software, sometimes the machine it runs on, occasionally the object that comes out the other end.
I started in design, drifted into code, ended up leading a team and then managing a product, and now I work for myself. Television first, then IT, then fintech startups in Mexico. None of it was planned and I would not claim it as a strategy.
At the moment I'm learning AI properly rather than by osmosis, which mostly means running models on my own hardware instead of renting somebody else's. There's a homelab here that is larger than it needs to be. Cameras and vision systems that have to keep working when nobody is watching them. A 3D printer. An interest in drones and robotics that hasn't turned into anything yet.
I like enterprise hardware more than is reasonable and I enjoy the part of a problem where you find out the cause was a cable.
I take on consulting and custom builds. Say hello.
